Persuasion and what it means to me and my own
Guys like sports.
Wait a minute, do guys like sports? Or are guys persuaded to like sports? Nature v Nurture.
Well I've got a new POV pal, you can persuade anyone to do anything, to like anything, to hate anything. Persuasion is more powerful than the strong nuclear force that holds atoms together. Why? Cause we've split the atom, and I'm sure someone was persuaded to do it.
There's a bit written about it, generally it's called a meme, an idea that's almost virus like in nature. Memes spread through society, persuading those to pass it on and carry out whatever tasks are involved.
Need an example? How about religion. Religions encourage you to spread them, and they have cultural practices and ideals associated with them.
I'm going off topic. The point is, you can persuade someone to do anything, even kill themselves. That's a powerful thing and it's sad in a way. Are people really any different from anyone else if they can be persuaded? Some people call it brain washing, really its just exposure to another, logical point of view.
You can use this to your advantage. You can make anyone like you, hate you, love you. The question is, do you want to?
Persistence is key in persuasion.
People break. Just keep bugging them, inching them closer and closer to a new frame of mind. Once they crack, you've got them. It doesn't need to be as brutal or as brief as an interrogation. You can persuade people over days, or with simple gestures.
Don't start too many revolutions my faithful.
A reeve a dan chi.
